Well if you don’t use the MA-R’s I’ll take them off your hands as I have run out off MA-R’s only have MA-XG’s left. ;)

Actually now that you've mentioned those tapes. The MA-XG's, are they better or just the one that followed the MA-R?
Also, I actually will be attempting to make a deal with someone in BC, Canada for some of the MA-XG's. Obviously I do not expect a bargain, but would you be interested in some? They're new and sealed. If you do, please tell me what you'd be willing to pay for them, more or less. Cheers!

The MA-XG is not better than the MA-R, to be honest I thing the MA-R’s are the best tapes TDK make. The MA-XG came after the MA-R.

I don’t really need anymore MA-XG’s as I still have 20 – 25 sealed unopened ones left, I am willing to do a swap for MA-R if you want to try MA-XG as long as the MA-R are sealed.

Hi TooCool4. Wow, you do have a lot of those MA-XG's. Nice!! I am negotiating the purchase of some MA-XG's with the fellow that I bought the MA-R's from, as well as some old style Maxell XL-II's and some old style BASF's. I'll let you after how that went. Thank you.

What tape deck do you have to use this tapes on? as these tapes are very demanding, to get the best from them you need good source and tape deck.

I've got a Pioneer Deck, CT-8R, 3-Head, Dolby B&C and Auto BLE (Bias Level Equalization?) for my II and IV recordings. I've also got an Optonica Deck, RT-3838 by Sharp, for everyday I and II recordings.
My Source is a make shift Sansui FR-D3 Direct Drive turntable with a Stanton stylus D71EE. My CD player is Pioneer and my other Tape source is a Pioneer CT-S609R, with which I also record.

I'm trying to get things ready for some good recordings, but I'm not ready yet. The Gentleman I bought the MA-R's from has got no more available. He also said he does not have MA-XG's to spare. So, I ask you then, do you have any of your MA-XG's you can spare, trade or sell? Thanks.

Sure I can trade MA-XG’s what would you trade in return, I would not sell them as the money is no value to me.
