Hi all, I recently bought a F702 and fixed it up. I am having an issue where the volume control is really noisy and one of the channels keeps cutting out unless I place it in the perfect spot.

Any ideas on how to fixit?

Perhaps a spray of Deoxit on the pot may help. It maybe just a tad oxidized from the sounds of it.

Thanks, the pot seems sealed, do you think it will penetrate if I spray on top?

Not sure but it may help to adjust the volume while applying it. It's a very safe product to use and I've never experienced any side effects from "a light overspray".

    Yep. Go for it.

Make sure you work that control back and forth as soon as you have sprayed too. No need for a cassette to be loaded.

Also listen with headphones connected. Then you can hear the improvement and ascertain if another spray or two is needed.

Deoxit is epic. Fixed it perfectly, The needle is great, 1 drop in each hole fixed it perfect. Thank you.

Deoxit is my goto when I have sound issues. I always have a can on standby. Glad it worked!
