Capstan cleaning help needed!

    Hi all,

    I have 2 Sony walkmans - a WM-EX560 and a WM-GX622. They both have those funny covered capstans. What's the best way to clean them? One of them is totally caked up with crud! P2113608.JPG P2113605.JPG

    water, soap and a toothbrush. ive used acetone and +90% to ideally pure isopropyl alcohol with great results though i have heard that alcohol makes the pinchroller dry up.
