Hi all, Joining up today, as a friend and fellow tape enthusiast, Hugo, posted the link to this forum on another forum we both belong to. Been into car stereos since about 1978 and portables for the past 2o odd years. Have a few portable MD and cassette players, as well as a number of my old car stereo components. And I own a few other oddities, as well, including the Sanyo unit featured in my avatar. I used it as a PA system for our wedding which was held outdoors in a park, last summer. I used another portable for the music used for our pre-ceremony, too. Nando.
Nando, it's great to have you as a member here. Welcome aboard! You are a very well respected member at the other forum, which is the best worldwide source for decks and many other stuff: www.Tapeheads.net . No worries to mention or link, of course. I feel that we are both 'brother' sites that aim for essentially the same: keep the memory of tape stuff in our own way. I enjoy a lot your photos. Here you can upload them without having to use external resources like tinypic. You can ipload videos and PDFs too. And you can even upload it directly from your phone, no need to download to the PC previously! I'm not in MD a lot but I have a nice small factor MD unit from sony, that has an internal switch with a failure and I can't find a part... Here it is with my old stack I bought at 1997:
Welcome aboard Elite-ist, had a look at the photo of your home system you posted recently and I have to say it's very nice looking set up.
Hi Boodokhan, It is a Sanyo PAT-M5. I will follow up with more details of it in another thread. Nando.
