If you grew up in the 80's you were cool if you had a loud flashy boombox and you had to have one of these. I made a short video when I came across these in my closet along with my Speak & Spell and MB Simon Game from the late 70's . I used to listen to my walkman and play these on my lap riding home from school on the bus. I wanted to make sure they still worked. Music is kinda loud so adjust volume prior to watching. Enjoy
I had that and the football one. Its funny, my step kids tried it and they couldn't figure it out!!! What are the dots for? why isn't there any real players on the screen? No imagination.
I had a load of the Nintendo Game & Watch stuff. I had that Donkey Kong one above, those were the days everything was so innocent and cool
does anybody remember those early pocket-pc's, like Dell Axim etc (2003-2006) ? theywere "windows mobile" based and had a game "jawbreaker" included. i have to "out" myselfe that i'm sorta addicted to this game and keep an Axim alive since then, only to play this game every now and then - luckily the Li-ion is still good - there's 11's of copies of this game cruisin around - but none has neither appearance nor joy of the original. pics to follow...
I do not remember that baseball game. Looks cool though or more advanced for the time. I had to look up the Dell your talking about autoreverser. I do not remember that one.
That pocket PC reminds me of the Palm Pilots. Those were all the rage when they came out. Now it's phones and tablets
Sometimes when I'm knee's deep in spreadsheets I find these cool little threads to divert my attention. I've got a box down in the stacks full of old handhelds, I really liked the Bambino Brand with the ultra cool looking cases and higher tech graphics. I've also got a Pocket PC or two around, they were super handy when they came out, some would even surf the internet. My little clam-shell HP had a keyboard and I thought it was the coolest thing hooking it up to the internet. It was weird that HP and Dell didn't make the leap into stronger phone units but I think they did make one or two.
