    Hi all,

I purchased this unit 5 1/2 years ago at the local thrift store for $20. When I first found it, the detachable speakers weren't together with the main section, so I almost passed on getting it that day. The following day, I did a bit more searching and discovered the speakers in the clothing section of the thrift store. Quite impressed with it, as it all worked and I was unaware there was a concealed compartment for the batteries, until someone on a forum pointed it out.

Nice find for $20 :D looks in great condition, I have one I think they sound pretty good, very heavy though.
Yeah the battery compartment is pretty well hidden.
Do you have the carry handle? This also has the FM antenna attached to it.

Thanks, Dave. There was no handle with antennae on it when I found it. It appears the handle is removable.

Nice you located the speakers to go with it to.

This remembers me the Panasonic that John Lydle had and upgraded speakers in the old forum:

Congrats on that great find, Nando!

Thanks for the video, Hugo. I should record a YT demo of my own in action, some time. I play tapes more than I play records on the JVC DC-7.

    Nice machine. :nodding:
My hobby pal once tried to soften speaker surrounds in this model so that they produce more bass. He succeeded to some extent, AFAIK. :)
