    Hi guys
I want some opinion from experienced members/owners on those boxes made by panasonic.
I always found them kind of fugly however i would like to get one of those in the future maybe because of their ugliness or maybe because i found something appealing in them after watching thousands of pics with boxes! Some say they are the start of the downfall of boxes so i read,i just want to have more info about them if the members are not bored to death!
If you want to post something apart from panasonic 90s boxes feel free to do so
Please recon that this post is to learn more about such boxes and help me decide which one to get first and which ones to avoid!

    How do they sound?
    Any special functions on them?
    Anything special at all?
    Do you like them?
Which one to get and why?
Show me your "fugly" or "awesome" 90s boombox or later boxes you like and use!

I have had this Panasonic RX-300E since new in about 1994.

    Panasonic RX-300E.JPG

I bought it in sale for the bargain price of about £230 (actually ten monthly payments of £23)
It is sat less within touching distance to me now but I don't think it has been powered up for over a year.
At the time it had everything I wanted in a Boombox, including a full logic autoreverse deck.
The lack of a line in is a real shame now that things like MP3 are more common.

If you have the space how about an RX-DT707 which does have line in.

I have heard good things about the sound
However, having seen one in Charity shop it is not the sort of box you could sneak in past the wife :nono2

Finally for those who like Cobras this must be one of the best collections ever

Another "egg" mistake i made in life..............Display is off and i have to get the sand out of the box at some point. There must be at least 10 beaches in there!

Now please do not start showing your eggs one by one.

    In 1994 a friend bought a 680,
that was before I started collecting, although it was a great machine (that's what I think now)
I hated it, because it had a cd and it was short, in my view a boombox should be silver and tall w/cassette.
I remember the first time he wanted to record a cd into a cassette , it blew my mind, that thing ffwd rewd and did all kinds of loops just to make sure there was enough room in the tape for the cd, it was amazing , I recomend the 680 and the 707.
