Hello guys, One simple question for you english spoken people: if a disc jockey does what you expect in a party, with vinyls, what's the proper term for it? "That guy is jockeying discs"?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_DJing Showing that you learn something everyday I had always assumed that Jockey was somehow related to the guys who ride race horses.
"Deejay" (or "dj") is an abbreviation of disc jockey; it functions as a noun and a verb. For instance, "She is deejaying tonight." Another verb option is "spinning." For example, "I am spinning at Club Hugo tonight."
