    Again, not a boombox but saw this really old solid state radio and had to rescue it

    This will join the queue now for a clean up and refurb. Its a lovely sounding old thing, even managed to find a correct Sony power cord for it online, a lucky find.

    Thanks Deli, great to see you on btw, yeah it was relatively cheap and I think she'll clean up alright. I get full reception on all the SW 1-10 bands, mw lw etc but its really quiet on FM, how annoying!!

    Yeah i was kinda lucky on that as it didnt come with one, i tried it on batteries first as i noticed the power lead was a proprietry Sony one, I thought i'd have a look around and buy a couple so i always had one but i could only find that one for sale. It was only a deep sea diver to.

    You could tell it was a Sony before seeing the badge. It's kind of ironic that they decided on the 'It's a Sony' marketing in the 80's. As if there was any doubt.

    I like many of the older Sony radios...always had a touch of quality about them
