Hello There Managed to get hold of Sony WM-DDI...anyone on the forum able to assist with providing the associated service manual in case in run into issues when giving it a good clean & service ! On a similar not any ideas how the spring inside the door opening catch is meant to be positioned - it popped out as I removed the transport mechanism...help ! Pics would be great... Thanks !

Thanks...not enough detail around how the spring is meant to be attached in the door catch....will be trial and error.
It's easy to fit the spring back. Once you put the player back together with the door catch you will see a small rectangular slot from the inside. Use a pair of tweezers and insert one end of the spring in and then push the other end of the spring into the slot and it will go back into place.
