I have a WM-65 recording walkman that needs a belt. I am not handy at all, tried to take it apart but the belt is disintegrating and I just don't have the proper tools to replace. What is the most reasonable costing place to send this to? I have a local repair shop but they want $85 plus parts. I only paid $5 for the unit so hoping to get it done for a lot less.
Try to change the belt yourself. This model is not a complicated model I post the service manual that way you can follow the steps to dismantle and install the belt yourself. It will be a fun project for you.
