There is this Exhibition that is taking place from the 25th till 12 of March 2017 at Technopolis in assosiation with Onassis Cultural Centre that is dedicated completely at the impact that the 80s had culturally. politically, techonogically etc amongst other influences in our society in Greece.
    Contributed with a Lasonic LPC-81.
I paid a visit yesterday and also saw a Mono Grundig .
Its an interesting project . For those of you who decide to make a short trip to my town

It sounds to be interesting, although it is a bit worrying that an era most of us remember well is now being treated as history.
There again my sister recently pointed out that all the students at the secondary school where she works were born in the
    21st century !

I obviously don't have much idea of what happened in Greece during the 1980s (although I can guess you got most of the same
gadgets as us like VCRs and very expensive brick size mobile phones) but in the U.K. there were big changes with Margaret Thatcher
overseeing the decline of traditional industries like coal mining and encouraging new professions like computer programming and
above all consumerism. People used to joke that England was "a Nation of Shopkeepers" but in the 1980s we became much closer to
    being one.

There was a recent documentary series "The 80s" by Dominic Sandbrook about this which you might be able to find on Youtube.

Love the generic Lasonic - So many names appeared on these machines!! & they are just SO 80's

I was a young man back then & so obsessed with stereos of any sort but mainly silver portables.............

Not much has changed then!! :reelspin: :reelspin: I finally found a Binatone badged version & it's mint!

There's some cool gear there. If I'd have been there, I would definitely have 'liberated' that WM-F5 :fisch:lollegs:

Τhe granite floor is all that matters and some wooden furniture that can easily fit in a modern house together with a Ghettoblaster of course!

My vintage mopeds and pinball machine all from the 1980's. I restored all of them and had the two mopeds just like these when I was a teen.

They dont accept other stuff . The deadline was until late December.
I guess you can come with your own ghettoblaster and when they check you at the entrance
say to those in charge i want to enter the exhibition with my own stuff.
I think nobody will give you strange looks because thats what this exhibition is all about ! :)
