I'm back again to show what are the most beautiful players in red, mostly made with metal. for me those are some of the most vibrant and exciting players. As you may know, red is the most vibrant color, that is often associated to guilt, sin, passion, and anger, as stated in the Wikipedia (link).

As passion for walkmans in my main fuel for writing this, I thought it would be nice to see some of the most vibrant red players toghether. They are the following:

    • AIWA P02, P07, P08 & G08
    • AIWA G09, J09
    • SONY WM-2
    • SONY WM-DD, DD30
    • SONY WM-30, 109
So, here comes the AIWA family:

    AIWA Walkman Red Series 04.jpg

And here, all AIWA and SONY models:

Walkman Red Series 01.jpg Walkman Red Series 05.jpg

For me, the most vibrant red here is the AIWA G09, followed by the P08 & G08. The red G09 is incredibly powerful, and difficult to capture in a photograph even for me, that I'm specialized in precise color reproduction if photography. I was very surprised that this is probably one of the most intense red I ever seen in a material object (not in a screen). I can only think in a tulip being backlit byt the sun as a close red. Really impressive.

Any other model that you consider to be undoubtely here?

    Hope you enjoy!

Very nice collection of red Walkman  especially the Aiwa's.
If you don't mind here's a few of my favourite red ones from my collection, none are top machines though, but I like them.

    Sony WM-F202, Toshiba KT-V670, Sharp JC-K15G(R), Sanyo MR-63, Toshiba RT-V600, Fisher PH45, Aiwa HS-G35 and Akai PM-R5

Thanks for your contribution, Dave. Yours are really rare and beautiful models. And the look like in almost mint condition. I also have an RT-V600 boxed; very cool model.

Thanks Hugo, yeah I like the RT-V600 in red, I have the RT-KS1 which is the same in grey/black boxed with cool fold-able headphones with detachable ear buds, did the VT-600 come with these?

Very nice photos of good-looking portables. I have a sole red one and it's a Pioneer PK-3.

That Pioneer is very nice. Almost like a caricature of a cassette player. If the mechanism is anything like the Toshiba however...

That is indeed a very rare player. I got also a Pioneer, ultra rare player, the PK-F9. Boxed, brand new:
