So I was wondering if anyone knows which Walkmen have speakers built into them.

The only ones I know are WM-3060 and the WM-F57, but I was wondering if there are any others.

AIWA HS-J11 and HS-J110. The right side speaker ( bottom one in this picture) is removable and as you see I placed the speaker on the the other one ( look at the silver trim vs white trim)

Sony Walkman TP-SS1 ( front label marked with "enjoy AIWA) so this was made after Sony acquired Aiwa

I've always thought that this kind of unit is the intersection point between a walkman and a boombox. Actually on the old site the topic was discussed under the "smallest boombox" heading.

In fact, the AIWA HS-J11, the Sony WA-8000 MKII (and even the WA-77) look more like boomboxes than walkmans.

Among those that can be considered walkmans proper (ie, those with the speaker on the front or on the back), I own a Larsen JC-529 (speaker on the back). I have seen other models from Larsen, and Panasonics were on display on olds2go (can't remember which, but I think James RC550 had some).

hello Helaba, it was just a personal opinion about these type of Walkmans.
In my opinion this Walkman ( or a mini boombox as @samovar corrected me) looks very elegant and it is always a favorite model to me. I have 4 WA8000 and 3 WA-77 and by listening to them I can tell that WA8000 sounds better than WA-77

I absolutely love the WA-8000 MKII! the only (minor) problem with is that it is made of plastic instead of metal.
What is your most favorite unit?
