Best way to revitalize white plastic that has yellowed? with age

I wouldn't be surprised if this has been discussed before, but when I searched the archive I didn't find anything.

I have lost of plastic scratch remover and plastic polish. Is something stronger - like Tilex or Cameo scrubbing powder - a better bet?

I'd be careful with those agents. You can scratch up the case and remove fine details like the "cowhide look" or rough surface some have. In molded plastics depending on the severity, the yellowing can penetrate pretty deep. See this thread here...
