Refurbishing the GF-777

tburick - 2009-01-04 20:02

As many of you know, I ended up with two 777's. one is rough, the other decent. I am refurbishing the rough one first. I have it torn into a million pieces on my work bench. I am replacing all of the drive belts, cleaning and lubing all switches with deoxit, and possibly installing new cassette heads. PICS to follow soon.
BTW - working on the 777 was intimidating at first but now that it's apart, it's not that bad. After I make my mistakes on the rough one, I'm going to tackle the other 777.
A huge thanks to all members who have supplied my with so much valuable info...repair manuals, tutorials, advice, etc.

Best of luck with the restoration tburick, it's great that you're going ahead with it.

BTW, nice Vespa! I had a PK50 with a very similar paint job a couple of years back.
