Security Alert?

viennasound - 2009-02-04 01:15

Question:
My AUDIOTON MasterBlaster owns a function, i don´t know how it works.
There is a "Sensor" button and a "Security" field.
When pushing the button, the box stops working. Red Face

What is it for?
How is the meaning of the function?
I guess it´s against thefts, but what should it do? Shut off? Siren? .... Confused
Anybody owns a working Master and can tell me something about it? Smile

I think how it's supposed to work is that you turn the sensor on (boombox turns off) & after a little while, if anyone tries to pick up or move the boombox (or even approach it?) a loud siren sound plays.

Those days, it was "the more gadgets, the better"
...however strange Smile

It sometimes takes a little bit of time to kick in Roman. Turn the sensor on and then leave it sit. Then wave something in front of it after a minute or two.

Congrats on scoring one too! Well done!

Rock On.

So it's a proximity sensor, eh?
Does it react if you pick up the boombox too (motion sensor)?

Good question, but i think not.
I will try it at weekend before opening the box for repairing the amplifier... Wink

im imagine this box is related to the conion family because of this security feature...
