Sharp trouble and free service manual

I've been wrestling with a Sharp 9494 that I got off the 'bay. Looks like the idler issue that so many posts report. Gave it to my service guy who gave up so I'm going to give it another go myself when I get it back next week...

Anyway, I got a service manual from manuals-in-pdf.com for the 9494. Only it was in German, so I complained and got the manual and store credit. So, since I've gotten so much help from reading old posts and learning from others here, I thought that I'd ask if anyone wants a copy of the service manual (in German) or want any service manual available at the site. All my other boxes are working fine and I don't need any other manual right now.

Cheers.

well i hope you can fix it as the cassette is fairly not that bad to work with Nod Yes replacing that small little flat o-ring on the capstan should have her in good shape and hoping that nothing else is wrong Smile

Thanks, took it apart for the weekend and managed to sort it. Seems the rc fuel hose i got to replace the sticky goo might not be quite tight enough but it is working and I'll keep my eye out for something more suitable. Amazed how easy it was to work on though. Never dared to go into the mechanics before, only opened them for cleaning previously. Sorted out some other small potential problems such as worn cables etc. while in there. Can wait for spring to make its arrival so I can take it out for a proper walk. Smile
