Panasonic 5150 Loudness problem

macdude443 - 2008-08-04 22:10

Hey everybody! Question for the tech-minded.. I have a 5150 and when the loudness is pressed in, it only affects one channel. Any ideas?

Your Avatar is hillarious Macdude, you must have been wearing speedos. I have to admit it looks like your at a nude beach wearing nothing but your fashionable color striped socks, I remember wearing those.

Sorry I have no help for your question, just had to laugh at your Avatar. Nod Yes

Clean both the switch and volume pot.
Some loudness circuits takes "some infromation" from the volume pot, actually the center point.
That's to change the loudness compensation as you change volume. Loudness compesantion works more at lower volume positions.

I'll clean everything out with some deoxit and report back, thanks. I guess worst case scenario I have two 5150's that I could always compare internally to find the problem.

As far as the avatar goes, I was wearing running shorts.. although they were still pulled up a little bit, haha.
