Hi everyone-I just took apart my GF-8989 and cleaned up everything (belts,switches,lens,ect.)
On my cassette player the play is fine but FF & Rew. are slow.
I checked the internals with the power on and with the grey cassette cover off and could see and feel that the belt is slipping for the FF & REW.
Belt is way undeneath(Can't see)-I see the small gear cominmg up from where I think that belt is slipping.
Now I think it shouldn't be to bad-I'm going to order the belts for this one and hopefully there isn't to much stuff that has to come out to get to that belt.
If anyone has done one of thes please let me know your opinion on difficulty and any tricks or things to look out for.
