Mystery Blemish...

Perhaps some of you who have seen a lot of boomboxes in various states can help me out.Can anyone tell what the blemished area over the speaker in this picture might represent?Does it look like its on the cone itself or is it on the speaker grill?I'm hoping it doesn't indicate anything too terribly bad because I just paid for it Red Face .

Its definitely fixable either way ,
but it looks like the speaker grill is stained.

Don't wory Jovie, it's just little old mayonnaise on the speaker grill.
Easy to remove.

It's the grill and a black magic marker will fix that in two minutes then go over the grill with that shoe shine sponge with the mink oil and it will look like new, try it. You will be amazed! You can also use it on the whole radio then wipe it down with a soft paper towl or cloth and it will look brand new. I have done this plenty of times with amazing lasting results.

Hopefully its not glue Frown very hard to get rid of. I had it on my panasonic 5150. had to repaint the grills.

Thanks for all your reassurances Nod Yes .You really never do quite know what you will get until your new "baby" comes in the mail. There's so much that can go wrong with a multifunctional device like an old boombox. At least many times they are repairable. You can't say that about many things produced these days.
