Being the most electronically retarded member of this forum - I would REALLy appreciate if somebody would happen to know what parts I need to get for my Toshiba WX-1 to fix FM stereo!!?

The problem is the same as what I used to have with my GF-777 - FM stereo is on and off. To fix my GF-777 I had to replace a couple of VR-27 pots. My question is - would the same parts that I used for GF-777 work for Toshiba WX-1? Or would I need to look for different parts? If anybody has a clue - please lemme know!! it's probably the 19khz pilot adjustment just like with the all the other boxes, BUT i need to WARN you...the WX-1 is an electronic jungle inside so be careful

Dont meant to sound stupid, but what does it mean - "19khz pilot adjustment"??

technical term for fm stereo adjustment. sorry it will be the only pot sitting real close to the fm stereo decoder i.c....and if you dont know which ic it is, you can go to nte electronics website and cross reference the toshiba numbers to an nte number. it will also tell you the function of the ic and pin out as well. its going to be an ic that is close to the tuning capacitor (the little thingamajiggy that the dial cord pulley is attached to)

If I break something in process - I'm going to blame it on Ira, because he initially kept saying why don't i come visit and pick up his boxes in person, but as soon as you said you would help me fix stuff if I come by - AND you'd buy some beer too - he switched to "no local pickup" - which almost sounds like somebody got a little jealous

danny are you sure that wasnt airline traffic adjustment on the boeing 737 cdu you enter 19khz and it gives you runway section for departure......
