New Crown related headache

sega - 2011-09-16 17:21

Got the belt to behave itself and there is still an issue or issues should I say.

When you press play its siezed until you press and hold pause and the once siezed wheel goes nuts, let it go and it jams again, same seems to happen with fastforward but I will check that again in the morning. Rewind is brilliant, the wheels turn in on each other with the counter still going forward as opposed to backwards.

Im really confused now

what we need now is a video  of this issue in action - with a description of what is happening as it happens with this Crown CSC-950 Boombox cassette deck mechanism.

sega - 2011-09-17 03:51

Sadly I dont currently have the means to provide one as I dont have the correct cable for my camcorder for linking to the laptop and niether the phone or digital camera have Video.

Its making no sense in itself what so ever, the wheels turn in to correct direction when the realavent function is pressed, yet when the play/ff wheel should freewheel on Rewind it doesnt and turns towards the rewind wheel.

It also seems the other mechanism (cant remember the name) has seized yet it was fine when it ate my aerosmith tape

Found I had a belt wrong (all rise as the choir sings Sega is a ***head) but its still peeing me off as its still sticking useually as the tape is about to play.

I feel like kicking something atm, Today hasnt gone aswell as I hoped as my exhaust sounds worse and the 1955 burger I bought is a true case of false advertisment and didnt taste that nice.

Atleast my Spiket six transistor radio turned up today with its cool atomic badge.

I concur:  Our memory loss was on a different scale, We had forgotten, - had bought a Fisher PH-480, so we bought one only to discover that we had one already! PH-410 x's 2?, and JVC RC-838 ? x4... JVC RC-M70 x2... and quite a few walkmans the same way...still finding these; here, an about

I forget I have stuff all the time, Ive acctually woken up once and forgot I had a dog some years after getting him, remembered after a while though and Ive not forgot I have fish yet (That would be very bad as the tanks are right by my bed).

I regularly lose my car in car parks dispite it looking the way it does, the other one Im restoreing should be a bit easier to find as its got fins and Chrome on it.
