Broken antenna - Lasonic i931

jhamez84 - 2011-12-29 16:25

Apologies if this has an answer so obvious that it offends (!), but I broke the antenna / aerial of my Lasonic i931. Devastated. If I was to source a replacement, say on eBay, what would I need to search for? Is there a particular specification I ought to be hunting down to get the best match, and if so, what might that be?

Thanks guys. However, I'm in the UK rather than the US, so will need to search for an equivalent online. And yes this is the i931 rather than the TRC range.

Just bumping this to see if anyone else can help (hope that's not against the rules!). Really keen to get hold of an adequate replacement antenna/aerial for my Lasonic i931 - keeping in mind that I'm in the UK rather than the US (and so may have to rely on eBay and such like).

Great for the 'bump ,,, tho am just wonderin' where ( Lessor Manchester ) is... & would it be an ok place to live?-- being lessor....

I'm kinda here just to get my stereo fixed.a Replacement aerial must be fairly easy to the ethusiasts and collectors here surely?

I assume you're referring to the fact I've put where I'm from on my profile -- Greater Manchester? ... UK? Google search throws it up quite easily. And the opposite to Greater is Lesser, rather than Lessor.

Something tells me that I don't think I'm going to have any joy with this forum!!!

well maybe not searching for this "Rare" antenna.

But for other things... possibly

was never great with spelling - always spelt w/phonics...

If your only after the antenna, well all I know is that I tried

Bumping this for an easy fix.

I went to Radio Shack and just picked up a new antenna for $5.99.

Lasonic also carries replacements on their website.

Easier fix?    Thrift stores usually have a few of the old set-top rabbit ears for a buck.  That's two antenna replacements.  Generally they unscrew at the base beneath the hing and screw directly onto the back of a boombox.
