Has anybody swaped out the original volume control for a newer version? If so do you have a make and model # of It? (Original has been discontinued for 8  year's) Any help appreciated.

Can't help you there mate but if it was me and was stuck getting the replacement part I would look at maybe getting the original rebuilt as it is possible

Hmmm...not good.

How about locating the service manual Tony and get the part number from there. Then research to see if JVC used the same pot in any OTHER radio/ tuner or amp.

I'm sure they did..but I'm at work now and don't have the SM in front of me.

You might get lucky finding a $10 JVC junker radio with the same pot

I hope you find a solution Tony...good luck!
