Question on opening case

pfb6736 - 2013-10-29 13:10

Hi , Sorry for the newbie question , I just obtained a National Panasonic RX-5500F. I am trying to open the case (all screws have been removed) ... I don't want to force it ,-does the cassette door need to come off before removing the case , (if so , how) ... thanks

Hi, not an expert on Panny boomboxes but on most of them come appart a lot easier if youpress eject so the cassette door is open. This is because, in a lot of cases the cassette door is part of the front assembly and the tape transport is mounted on the rear panel, not always the case but it could be how your box is put together. Hope this helps.

Seb

Not familiar with the Panny but open the battery compartment and be sure there are no additional screws in there.
