Nice box! Does this have bass and treble controls? The CS-600K has the DSL button and a tone control. I just wondered whether they'd gone one step further with this model.

sweet box man........... Big Grin

Yep. I had one of these. Very heavy, nice sound. For once, an aiwa belt change, that`s not too hard. Worst part of these, is the silly door damping method, with the string attached to the door, going round the casing, to a flywheel thing. Break the string, you are stuffed.

Fisher's and Hitachi's are a PITA too. There are a lot of 'em out there that sometimes I figure if the line in works...the screw it 'til I feel like banging my head agaist the table fighting wires...let alone soldered bundles that don't have connector clips! Laugh Out Loud

That Aiwa CS-660U looks nice, PIONEER. It tunes shortwave in two bands, right? I'm not sure I ever owned an Aiwa, but I DID have a "crush" on that brand of (new) minisystems (like the "NSX"-series) in the late Nineties and circa 2000 ... 'til the Aiwa brand kind of vanished (frown). Anyway, for a second or two I thought that red dot next to the tuner knob was some kind of make-up mark (cringe)! But I now see that it's some kind of tuning-signal indicator
-- just like those two tape-deck-area red dots are electronic indicators, not Markings By Maybelline (blush)!
