this is a pretty nice sounding boombox just need's the plastic face plate for the cassette door and a new belt, quite heavy aswell a little TLC and she'll be better than new.

...a good cleaning and some carnuba wax will make it shine like new...the M70 is my favorite box.

Very nice,I have one also. Thing's built like a tank! Lots of metal parts, the capstan flywheel is huge!

Hey Brigadier your Aiwa Kick's some serious butt....Real Nice!

brigadier.vytas - 2010-02-21 07:55

thanks, PioneerBig Grin. As i wrote before, this is ukrainian Oreanda from 1991(!), interesting looking and solid sounding (2x10 watts) box, but it still waits for some repairing. The only thing i don't like is this strange radio scale painted direct on the bbx's body.Btw this box is not painted, this is just grey plastic version, also black one was available, here's silver, painted one's top view pic with lot's of functions:

Also, what makes almost all those (post) soviet boxes "original", is that they have not a "soft eject", but a "hard and heavy eject":]. This Oreanda makes a loud metallic "ka-pow!", but i kinda i like that:].Here's also a secret section for extra cassettes:

If i'll get second one someday, i'll try to modify that crazy radio scale, do some painting job, but now i don't want to change the original design.

cman750 - 2010-04-02 17:14

Creative, the RC M70 is a very well designed built machine ageless, crisp clear sound.

retro.addict - 2010-04-03 06:24

I would really like an M70 one day. They're really classic looking and have that grail-like status. I always think the woofers look a tad too small on these. Has anyone else thought the same?

im.out.of.hear - 2010-04-03 09:31

Nice box pioneer..brigadier,are they the origonal speakers in your box ?
and that blue M70 is nice..question about that too..what colour/tone blue is that ? e.g moonraker blue, royal blue ? nice....

davebush - 2010-04-03 10:39
