Aaww man, so sorry you had to sell yours crying , I'd never sell mine, not even if I was in very serious financial difficulty. I just couldn't part with it, it's one of those things. Those grille decals are courtesy of our very own obese mutt. Wink Big Grin Hopefully you'll be able to get another 777 in the future. Nod Yes By the way I hope I've not 'rubbed salt in the wound' by starting this topic.

Hey RA..No i'm quite ok about it,but at the time it was tuff, especially when i was packing it to send, that was hard..but after a couple of days it was'nt soo bad..

i sold it because i stored it for a while,i had'nt seen it,i thought one day lets go and check, when i looked at it,the front panel started pitting/corroding,soon as i saw that,i made a decision straight away, its got to go,i could'nt live with it if it went real bad..i may pick another up one day,but when i really think about it,i doubt i will..

I dread that happening to mine. The panel on mine's perfect at the moment. I have my box in storage. I keep it in a big plastic bag so it doesn't get scratched, and so dust can't get to it. I often don't look at my 777 for weeks or months, and when I do take it out, it's condition is exactly as it was when I last saw it.

Yep R.A,thats the best way to keep them, locked away from the air..when i got mine it was nice and clean, but after time i saw a couple of tiny specs,i thought i should keep an eye on it,i only left in my spare room for a while then bang, next time i looked,it had got worse..my GF9797 did the same so i sold that about a year ago,i had that for about 5 years, even my 8989s are going the same now aswell, but they are sentimental them,i had one in 1984,bought it off my friends brother for a tenner,it needed repairing,i fixed it myself,i was only 14,the guy dropped it and cracked the board on the transformer,i soldered the board and it was up and running again..i loved that box..thats why i got another, its one i always want to keep, there is a simular history behind many of my boxes..
