The most modern Panasonic I have.
The motor is dated from 1983.
Look like a 5050 ... but I guess with less features ...

It features a soft touch deck (the same of the RXC45). It hasn't got any tape selector.

It has AMBIENCE STEREO mode, four band Eq, and balance control

It has Line in in the souce selector switch.

Turner has four band radio with fine tunning.

It has 2 way speakers with dynamic tweeter.


Sound quality

Improved behavior at loud volume. It plays without distort. It keeps clear. Really Panasonic has improved this point.

Lack of Bass. I think that this unit don't kick as much as other of my Panasonics. Anyway I would prefeer a little distotion in bass reproduction. Anyway it's possible to adjust this issue using the eq.

Inside

Some thing shows me an effort to reduce costs ... a single board system, lack of some connectors, lack of a tuner string frame.
Supply hasn't any voltage selector. Speakers looks a bit cheaper.

Still a good quality product ... but not as good as other Panasonics I have. Clearly, Panasonic started to think in profits ...

Design

Love the desing, modern, with the green/violete details and the National logo inside th turner window. Control layout is clear and simple to use. Again a friendly design for everyday using.

Nice variation of the 5050, I actally think it looks a little better than the 5050.
