Lookie What Me Found...For A Few Happy Meals!

oldskool69 - 2008-09-27 21:30

When I come home from Montgomery, I try to make a stop at a few of my boombox waterin' holes along the way to save gas. And wait 'til you see what I copped over the last month or so! Eek

Electro Brand AM/FM/SW/PBS/EMB/Weather Radio. A classic do all radio from the sixties.

Toshiba RT-8065 Mini with line in & auto reverse (flip rotate heads/full logic) and line in/mic in switch.

Sony's CFS-DW50 & CFS-DW60. They both have rear firing subs with ports at front to add punch. The DW50 has a digital tuner with presets, three band EQ with a seperate boost slider and line in. The DW60 has A five band with integrated boost on the low band, auto reverse on one deck, EQ record select, and line in.

Pioneer CT-F900 (Yeah Boyeee!!) and JVC KD-A33 Cassette Decks. The JVC is really good for recording tapes for playback on ANRS compatible decks. The Pioneer needs no comments.

And this well, lets just say it was only a little dusty when I got it, and the inside was immaculate. All she needs is a battery cover. Both decks work. No loose knobs. YAY ME!!! Big Grin

Lasonic TRC-931...Except for battery door and one tiny nick at the left antenna clip...MINTY!!! Got it Friday!Big Grin

BTW...Did I say...YAY ME?!?!? Laugh Out Loud

The cheap turds in Tennessee must throw away all the good stuff because it's nowhere to be found here. Frown

Congrats on your new finds, Freddie. Maybe a trade on the Pioneer? Big Grin

sweet TRC 931 ,i owned at least ten of those over the years ,lasonics are kick ass looking boxes and as affordable as they were new you really couldnt beat em for the price so i had 3 of those to every expensive box my buddies had altho i would always beat em down with the m90 if the trc 931 wanst enough.

devoltoni - 2008-09-28 08:57

el.rojo.grande - 2008-09-29 20:39

Alright Oldskool

The Lasonic looks real good. It must have belonged to a little old lady who only went blasting on Sundays.

very very nice oldskool, I like that Toshiba with the tape controls layed out on the bottom like that. How does that one sound?

oldskool69 - 2008-10-01 17:58

No bass or treble controls, but not bad! The logic controls are sticking at the moment but once I complete the cleaning she should be staright. Smile
