New flea finds - from STARLINE to DISCOLITE

viennasound - 2009-03-04 09:45

Last weekend i found 3 nice boxes at the big flea.
Good luck, my friend Patrick was with me to carry it home. Big Grin

First i found was this big STARLINE:

He wanted 50euros. The condition is quiet ok, only the record button looks to be broken...

This time it was able to test at power connection. So i could get sure not to take a wreck home. For 40 i took it.

I like the look of it

But it will need some work to make it pretty as it was Roll Eyes

If i can´t repair the right deck i will put in a MP3 connection.

Label:

Then Patrick told me, he had seen something blastifico behind a big television.
It was a nice find.
So i took out this LEVIS for 10euros:

The strange stickers at the tapedoors must be from an other modern box. I will remove them soon

The tapebuttons ok, they are only pressed from the transport. Smile

It´s in pretty nice condition

At home plugging in... why 4 cables at the speakers. Confused
Heeeey, this is a DISCOLITE! Eek Razz

But this one is other than my other boxes.
The LEDs flashes with the VU-Meter.
So you must play loud to get the fully look. Big Grin

So my "Discotree" can grow up. Laugh Out Loud

Label:

Finally i found for 7euros this nice SOUNDMASTER:

Dirty, but in good condition. Fully working

Including a tape with croatian music. Smile

So my first boombox (also a SOUNDMASTER ) has become a sister. Wink

First test in front of our train:

Label:

So let´s come together:

3 different types of boxes, but all doubledeckers:

I think the best (price/quality) shot was the DISCOLITE!

Or?
What you think... Roll Eyes

SWEET SCORE ROMAN ! ! ! ! Your running the show with the disco's huh.... And that Starline is a variation of the Tecsonic MX-900 (one of my favs) I'll bet it's really load but lacks the lower bass ? My gold one is obnoxious load with a wall behind it. Great haul bro ! Can't believe that disco for 10euros is crazy Cool

Thanks boys!

@Smokin: The bass of it is a littlebit weak. The balance-regulator does´nt work. Both play at same volume. Must look why... Confused

@BB: This was my first love. SOUNDMASTER, bought at "LÖWA" discount, 20.10.1988, till today in great condition. I always took care of it. Smile

A few more pics for you, bill. Wink

The silver one is very clean now, but the twilight makes it looking like dirty...

In the 90´s a friend want to buy it from me.
But after the disco he had no money.
Very good luck, when i think so now... Razz

You should never give your first stereo away! No No
