Gluecifer's Collection

gluecifer - 2008-08-23 05:31

I think I need a new camera, this one is great at close up stuff but rubbish from a distance.

I'll do some nice single shots when theres some nice sunshine outside (winter here in Australia currently) as quite a few are in really clean shape.

Hope you guys like my efforts after collecting for 5 months, it wouldn't exist at all without the help of all you marvellous people. Many more radios to collect and much love to give them.

Rock On.

Cool

I have a similar little panasonic! Smile

Winter in Australia?, what temperatures do you have?

redbenjoe - 2008-08-23 06:47

great -- thanks -

i think your big hitachi on the top right side is the most beautiful

gluecifer - 2008-08-23 07:01

Walkgirl: It gets down to a couple of degrees celsius at nights, but rarely below 10c during the day. It never gets cold enough to get snow where I am, if that gives you a better idea.

Redbenjoe: Thanks! I love that Hitachi too.. something about bringing life back to severely broken/damaged radios gives them a lot more sentimental value too. I'll be sure to do a review of her soon as the tape deck is fixed.

Rock On.

That GF-9494X is a beauty! What replacement speakers did you put in the GF-777? They look really nice. Nod Yes

gluecifer - 2008-08-23 07:29

Thanks Fatdog. I always think of my 9494X as my 'Fatdog radio' as it was reading the posts you'd written on yours that inspired me to hunt for one for myself.

The replacements on the 777 are Blaupunkt THc-172's. They sound reallly nice, but cause some rattles in the case unfortunately. Hoping some dyna-mat will fix that. Been tempted many times to paint them black to go back to the original aesthetic, but always end up sticking with them as I like the individuality mine has with the silver sides.

Rock On.

It's a JC-2000 ESC model. I made all the tape deck keys for it, I posted about it here.

Thanks for all the comments guys. It's very encouraging.

Excellent collection. With the JC2000 and M70 side by side, you can really see how humungous that JC2000 is, wow.

Only 5 months, yikes, let's see it in a couple of yearsSmile
