This is my "beach box", modded for Satellite Radio. Sorry pic is a little blurry.



Ingredients:

1 Sony CFS-204 ($8)
1 Delphi Roady 2 ($14 I think...on clearance).
Some Velcro

Tapped in to Sony's 6V power supply (Roady requires 5V..but is OK with 6V. Uses the Roady's built in FM Modulator. Excess antenna cable hides in cassette compartment.

Now that you mention it it does look Johnny 5 -ish.

Otherwise this decidedly un-special box would be in a landfill somewhere, so why not make some use of it. And if it gets beat up or full of sand, who cares?

So grab an old unloved boomer and have some fun! Disassemble!
