Hello Smile

Here I want to show you my new sony ZX-7
miniboombox! Cool

Matrixambience was soo super friendly to part with
his for me Smile

I did get it in the mail today, the boombox was wrapped
super well!, alot of foam and poporn, even some
bubbelplastic! ( then I have something to do
later on whilst listening to the nice radio Big Grin )

I could not try it very well, because I did not have
the correct batteries, I was thinking as it was
a miniboombox it would use little batteries,
but not this one, it does work on 4 d cell batteries! Eek

well, enough of this, here are some pictures,
but the quality is rather bad as there was bad
lighting in the room Confused

Here is the front of the miniboombox:

Cool
Here it is next to my Heru miniboombox:

Here are the 4 d cell battteries:

As you see the tuning scale does go from 76
to 108!!

Very odd as I never did see this before
Here is the boombox open:

Here is the back with all the connections:

This is the manual, Matrixambience was soo
kind to include it with the boombox Smile

I am very happy to own such a nice radio, and
all thanks to matrixambience! Smile

Oops, I forgot a picture from the stereolamp!

beautiful nicolle Smile

In my eyes one of the most beautiful newer black minis!

And i never heard anything bad at all about these in build or sound quality!

Grat catch there!!Wish you a lot of fun with your new miniboombox!

walkgirl - 2008-07-31 14:07

Thank you Felix! Smile

It is actually from 1984!, and on the manual is
printed 1983!

The sound is very good, and the boombox is super heavy, according the manual 2.7 kilo!!

Only the tape is a bit fast, I think it does need
cleening Smile

Lovely Nicolle - if ever there was anyone on s2g who will appreciate one of these, it's you Smile
How about that rock steady disc-drive deck eh? Or the plethora of high-end features? Or the sound quality? It'a a little bit special, the ZX-7...

btw, mine came from Germany (an "E" model) & the FM dial shows 88 - 106: pic of it here

Between 76 and 88 MHz should be your local TV stations 5 and 6. (TV Frequency Listing)

Sweet mini. I bet it runs for ages on those D's Big Grin

walkgirl - 2008-08-08 14:01

I do live in Holland, we have no local tv
channels anymore via antenna! Frown

Must be a pirate station or so Smile

Oh yes, I do not know yet how long it does
play on those batteries, but I bet long! Big Grin
