Roman´s Ghettoblaster-Collection

viennasound - 2008-07-18 11:55

Hello Boomboxfans.
I´m Roman from Vienna (Austria) and collecting different Boxes the last 2 years. Now about ~20. I will photograph them in the next time and show you.

OK, starting with a LASONIC, found on the city dump. Radio works only on the right side, the switch radio-tape fails. Optical it´s not so bad. Maybe i will repair it, if i become parts.

viennasound - 2008-07-18 11:59

Next is a PHILIPS "PowerPlayer" with Spatial Stereo. Tape+Radio works well, the sound is the best of all my boxes. Megabass! Nod Yes
I got it for 25euros, the most expensive Box in my collection. Wink

viennasound - 2008-07-18 12:03

Next is a mid-size PHILIPS D8210. One more of the Philips "SpatialStereo" Series. I have about 3 of them. 2 like this, and one in complete Silver. All 3 in very good condition. Bought between 10 - 15euros each.

viennasound - 2008-07-18 12:08

Ever seen an UHER before? I´m not! UHER is a underlabel of SIEMENS. Normally only producing Electrical Power Counters. But it looks so, they had builded Blasters too. Got for 7euros on the fleamarket, very good condition, great sound:

viennasound - 2008-07-18 12:13

Next is a large noname Blaster. I can´t find a label anywhere. Very good condition, everything works, no scratches, bought for 7 euros at the Bazar. (Wondering why most 7 euros? 7euros=100schillings before) Roll Eyes

viennasound - 2008-07-18 12:17

The last for today: An FERGUSON , the perfectest in my collection. Better than new! I´ve never seen such condition before. Looks like it would be produced before minutes. Many LED´s behind the scale, Dolby, and very heavy for this size! Eek
About 10 euros.

To be continued....

kid.sensation - 2008-07-18 12:23

Hey man.

Welcome to the forum.

I just love that Ferguson. You aughta get a JVC (VICTOR) RC-727 They'd make a awesome pair with their chromed grills.

I sure will be looking out for one of them Fergusons!

viennasound - 2008-07-21 12:36

Hello and thank you Girls and Boys for wellcoming.
It´s a great forum here and i hope i will also learn better english soon. Big Grin
Ok, go on with a few pictures.....

The same Philips SpatialStereo als above, but in silver. One of the most beautiful mid-size boxes in my collection:

Found at a Fleamarket for 12 euros.
Very good condition, but the antenna break yesterday by an mistake. No Problem, i have the same at home. Wink

viennasound - 2008-07-21 12:39

One more of the Spatial Series.
A bigger one from Philips with Servo-Controlled Tapedeck. The belts of the Tapeplayer are weak, repairing soon....

The "Ghettoblaster" Label war put on it for fun, for a garden party. Cool

viennasound - 2008-07-21 12:42

Next one is an "HAN-TOR" , sold by the "Quelle"-Warehouse in Vienna. I got it from an friend with non-working tapes. Repaired from me last weekend. Now everything is well. Bought for 10 euros. Nod Yes

viennasound - 2008-07-21 12:45

Last one for today is a "AudioTon" Surround. It´s more modern with digital Tuner. Everything works, shot for 8 euros at ebay.

Now in Vienna it´s 22°°, good night. Wink
More soon....

viennasound - 2008-07-23 11:49

Let´s go on! Big Grin

The same as the nonamed (Helix?, thanks to CharlesDikens) , labeled as INTERNATIONAL (Panasonic). Fully working in best condition. Best Sound for 15 euros...

viennasound - 2008-07-23 11:58

Next one an old HITACHI, got for free, saved from wrecking in our factory. Nice LCD-Watch with battery powered. Tape non-working, Radio ok.
I must clean the dust of 15years in the factory....

First i want to part it out, it wasn´t working.
But there was only an cold soldering-point at the power-cable.

viennasound - 2008-07-23 12:03

Last for today, an NATIONAL PANASONIC, one of the smallest Boxes i own. Mono only. Wink
But found next an trash-box at our Tram-Station.
Radio+Tape working, so i saved it...

viennasound - 2008-08-24 11:37

2 new for my collection, found on Fleamarket.

SHARP GF-555
Perfect sound, it´s now the "highest Quality Box" in my collection. Nod Yes

Second is a
TEC 4040
Working well, littlebit compacter as the Sharp, but great sound too.

And you can make mistakes at the fleamarket as well.
This GRUNDIG Worldreceiver ist one of it.
Ok, for 10euros no heavy defizit.
I will part it out.... Frown
