Brother in boomboxing! Big Grin
Found this one in summer:

Does yours work perfect?
I have problems with tuning.
Sometimes the station fades away.
I don´t know why. Confused

borny - 2008-11-25 10:49

Yes i am lucky mine works perfect , and i have no problem picking up any Austrian Radio Station.

Does this tunnig fade away happen when you are moveing with your Compo ?

viennasound - 2008-11-25 10:56

No, when it´s standing.
But only sometimes.
I´m afraid i must take a short look inside next time.

Got PM! Wink

borny - 2008-11-25 12:27

Ok here is the video .

I hope you can hear how clear this Philips sounds.

I am still testing on mic distance and volume level but its not bad i think.

A bass test video will follow Big Grin.

Please watch in HQ , the sound is much better , enjoy and tell me , isn´t "She" sounding great Wink.

Hello Roman, same thing is happen with my JVC mono.
After a good cleaning the radio/tape switch, everything its ok now.
Check that switcher, I hope that this will help.
Smile

Hi börny, that's a fantastic box.
Congrats. Nod Yes

I will do so next time.
But i think it needs an fully check.
After seeing Börny´s, i recognised that the colour of my speakers is very weak. Roll Eyes
Maybe off the sunlight?
I will colour it new in black. Smile

Cool box! Cool I have one in minty condition and love the logic deck in it. Nod Yes

viennasound - 2008-11-27 09:15

Yes, and i think the "bicolour" model is nicer than this one:

As well the technic inside must be the same... Roll Eyes

borny - 2008-11-27 10:27

Thank you all for the comments, yes i enjoy this Compo very much .

The Tape deck sounds very good (in my ears Smile)and the soft touch buttons work great.

@ViennaSound , poor Compo :-(.

And to all the other D8534 owners , unpack it and let it do its thing Big Grin.

I am rendering the bass test video right now and then going to upload it .

It is incredible how low it can go Cool.

borny - 2008-11-27 12:59

Yes, the D8534's bass is at 60hz, lower than the more common 100hz. It's one of those boxes where you can turn the treble and midrange off, have the bass full on, whack the volume right up and it won't distort... it'll just pump harder. Cool

borny - 2008-11-29 10:19

I knew my ear´s dont cheat me Smile.

How many known BB´s are out there that can go this low , 60hz is amazing Cool.

borny - 2008-12-09 09:05

YouTube now supports 16:9 HD video with stereosound , so i did a HD version of the Basstest video.
Now its sounds almost good over YouTube.

For the best quality please switch "watch in HD" above view count !
