Congrats johhny, and welcome to the "blue blinker" club Wink . I sold ALL of my Kabooms, with the exception of the blue blinker, because the sound of the blue blinker is perfect to my ears Big Grin

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments, I do like the Kabooms and now have 4 of them Smile

I know there not vintage, but will probably one day be one the last attempts at boomboxes, and actually sound amazing!

I agree GSBADBMR, the little B.B. is nice natural sounding radio.

I like the sound of the mini-kabooms, too. Not as bassy as the big ones, of course, but natural and pleasant. Anyone want to join me in the "red blinker" club? Or in the "no blinker but still looks good" club?

redbenjoe - 2009-04-26 15:48

Welcome to the Red Blinker Club, RBJ. Nice photo of the box! As for the mirror walk, well... I'll do it in a shoe store when I'm trying on a new pair of loafers, and the mirrors are all pointed at my feet. But that's it.

Now that everyone has seen a blue blinker and a red blinker, I'd like to contribute a photo to the "no blinker but still looks good" chapter of the club. I mean, who needs blinks when the color of your mini-kaboom makes people squint?!?

fatdog - 2009-04-27 19:24

A "Drum Can"?! That's awesome, BB. And yes, it is bright. Hey, when you squint, it looks like a chalupa. Laugh Out Loud

Yeah, that's what they were called in Japan. Doesn't quite have the same zing as "Kaboom," does it?

Here's an early brochure cover...

redbenjoe - 2009-04-27 20:50

looks cool -
BB -cant really tell from the picture -
is it yellow -
or more like that bright 'safety' green ??

johnnygto - 2009-04-27 21:15

Baby Boomer that looks fantastic! I love these things! The sound is superb for such small speakers!

Thanks for sharing that!
