4 Generations of Hitachi

baby.boomer - 2008-11-14 08:54

Just admiring some of my recent Hitachi buys and noticed I now have one from each of the four most recent decades (1970's through 2000's). So, here they are:

From the seventies, the TRK-1271:

From the eighties (and Vladi123456), the TRK-8600H:

From the nineties (and Cutra), the TRK-3D30HC:

From today, the CK-22EX:

And last, but not least, a family portrait:

Congrats bb, very nice collection. Interesting...with the exception of the 8600, the "old stuff" have decals, but not the newest. Big Grin

I like the 8600 the best Cool

Very nice family collection! Razz
I like the grandfather most. Big Grin
Of the seventies and with all goodies.
The vladi´s very pretty too!
And the 3D sounds very well.
At least the new one.... ok, it´s an box too. Leaving
Congrats to the family. Smile

I wonder which sounds worse, the 70's mono or the egg?

I Agree no contest !!

Babyboomer, I like your diversity. ANd for you it's clearly all about the box. Nice stuff! Smile

moncheeto - 2008-11-14 13:25

the egg should be the top contender as with mega egg watts not seen in older boxes Nod Yes

Thanks for the great comments, everyone!

I love your heavyweight mono, Bill. Solid, high-end mono units like yours are stunners to look at and amazing performers!

Any more favorite Hitachi's, new or old?

peter.griffin - 2008-11-21 05:31

my favourite and only HitachiSmile

isolator42 - 2008-11-21 06:42

With my heart, my favourite is the same as peter's - the 3D7. I've owned one from new in the 80s.

But with my head, the 3D8 wins because it sounds & looks as good as the 3D7 & has proper aux-in & twin decks:

Thanks to Roayl for the pic (I think)

...be assured - both of these kick... hard Smile

gluecifer - 2008-11-21 07:13

Excellent! Love seeing generations all together.
I'm definitely be looing out for a 3D8 and 7 to add to my collection, that's for sure.

And if anyone has a 13.5v deck motor to suit a TRK-8610 I'd be most appreciative.

Rock On.
