Show your boxes with labels

masterblaster84 - 2008-06-28 16:56

Let's show all of our boxes that have original or reproduction stickers or clings. I'm curious, like many of you I'm sure, to see all of the different labels look like that came on all of the different boomboxes. This is the same pic in my other post about Fatdogs great reproduction labels. Big Grin

redbenjoe - 2008-06-28 17:30

MB- this is all i have put on so far --my other boxes are not yet clean enough for these beautiful labels Smile

- 2008-06-28 18:35

Ira how come you're passives are black on you're wx1 it's the only one i have seen like this but she sure looks good man with those labels.

fatdog - 2008-06-28 18:41

Lookin' good guys! Here's a shot of my GF-777Z with my Run-D.M.C. 25th Anniversary labels. These are 1st printing and have since been slightly modified for better coloring.

redbenjoe - 2008-06-28 18:42

tim -- i dont know what color they are supposed to be -- do you know what the OEM color was ?

i got it from member danny --he won it from japan yahoo --

anyway -- it sounds as good as a i had hoped for--
which is great Smile

- 2008-06-28 18:55

Is yours actually a wx1 ira i have noticed your passive radiator badges are different from all the others i have seen too i think you may have one rare box Smile.

I Agree Nod Yes

redbenjoe - 2008-06-28 19:08

ok - tim -- i just now checked out the WX1 shots in the trusty BBDB --and there are models in there which have both the white and the black radiators -- mine could not possibly look more original --so then -- until another members says otherwise --thats it! Smile

transamguy1977 - 2008-06-28 19:30

Here are mine with repros.

baby.boomer - 2008-07-01 10:01

My Prosonic PSR-9962 arrived from the seller with a sticker on the back. I assume it was removed from the front and stuck there when the bbx was first unpacked...

...but, for the life of me, I can't figure out where on the front of the bbx the sticker would've been stuck! (Neither can my cat.)

baby.boomer - 2008-07-01 10:06

Even my Sharp QT-Y4 mini from Japan came with a tape door sticker... in Japanese, of course!

That's a cool sticker! I'm sure Jeff will be glad to know that the PQR-9962 came with an original sticker. I'm sure he'll be contacting me shortly. Big Grin

Maybe the sticker went on the dial lens? Or is it too tall?

masterblaster84 - 2008-07-01 13:05

Baby boomer I like that Prosonic sticker but your shot of the front makes it look like a cat box.
Laugh Out Loud

I would be in for one of those stickers if they ever get reproduced.
Hey bobby do you need any more projects? Wink Big Grin

It's too tall. The dial lens is exactly 3cm tall all the way across, while the sticker is over 4cm at its tallest point in the middle and about 3½cm tall on both "wings." Makes me wonder if this sticker actually belongs with this box. Sorry if this turns out to be a false alarm. Frown

That must be why my wife accuses me of littering our living room with boomboxes! Big Grin

And by the way (also a wife obervation), I seem to be the only person who can actually get the cat to stand still long enough to be in a boombox photo and then make it look like the cat was Photoshopped into the picture! But trust me... the cat was actually there... staring at the carrying strap on the side of the camera. A few more seconds of dangling strap and there would've been a pounce!

I'd be happy to post a couple of close-ups if you're still interested... after what I noticed about the size.

baby.boomer - 2008-07-01 14:49

I THINK I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!! Eek

The Prosonic sticker is exactly 30cm across, from left lower tip to right upper tip...

...and the speaker grilles are also 30cm corner to corner. The sticker must have been placed diagonally over one of the speaker grilles. That explains the angled ends on the sticker!

Genius, huh?!? Big Grin

Even the lowly Sharp QT-5 came with stickers...

walkgirl - 2008-07-02 14:55

Cool

That is just a nice colourful mini! Smile

I wonder if you have all the miniboomboxes? Confused

Big Grin

baby.boomer - 2008-07-02 16:31

I really like mini's! I collected them before joining S2G. Two of my favorites are the Sharp QT-50 (stereo) and QT-5 (mono). I think their design and colors are great! I first saw a Japanese version of the QT-50 at the 1983 Chicago Consumer Electronics Show, but the Sharp rep wouldn't sell one to me. So... I've bought as many as I could find ever since! (Still no Japanese version, though Frown .)

I do think you together with Joe Cool have the
best mini collection!! Smile

Definitely some gems out there...keep posting group!!!

@AZA : I mistook your Sanyo M7800K for my very first BBX back in the 80's.
Come to find out I had the M6900.

gluecifer - 2008-07-29 21:48

To complete the trifecta of stickered up QT-77z's here is my virtually mint specimen that arrived today.

Rock On.

baby.boomer - 2008-08-02 12:03

But the Parade O' Sharps doesn't end yet. Here's a blue WQ-562 mini double-cassette. Not hard to see that it's in the same family as the QT-77 (even down to the sticker)!

monolithic - 2008-08-02 13:56

Wow, I think I should start buying some mini boomboxes! Both of those Sharp's are hot! Eek

viennasound - 2008-10-01 10:03

My newest shot, this PHILIPS has original labels still on it: Smile

master.z - 2008-10-07 07:14

I think everyone has a 656 but here's mine and a pc-11.
Anyone know if Risings 20/20's or their variants came with clings?
