When you go to the car boot / flea market, see a nice ghetto, only to find out that the stall holder knows exactly what he's selling..only yesterday i said i'm going to clear out and sell most of my boxes, only for the boombox disease comes back and makes me buy more..

£120 for the pair, but the unisefs alone i see going for £100+ on the bay,and this Kaboom NV B70 brand new are anything up to £300..this kaboom is mint, not a scratch anywhere, and it sounds Awwwsommm !!!

only thing with this kaboom, the guy said he's forgot the remote and told me to go pick it up next week, but i've hurd that before !

One question i need to know,i tried an Ipod Nano in it and it says "No Ipod" is the nano compatible ? if not, what does it accept ?

oh i forgot..pics..you wanna see pics..

Yeah it's like every stupid egg and bottom-level box is priced at $100+ on the bay these days.  All the "self-employed" salvage guys know exactly what boomboxes are worth.......They just don't know which exact models are the good ones, so they price ALL of them at $100+.  We should have a thread showing the most insane ones.

you know what guys,i used to hate the kaboom years ago,but now i love love love it ! i only bought the unisef at first, but i could'nt get the kaboom out of my mind, a friend that was with me actually talked me in to going back for it,he said he could see that i liked it,so if i would have left it i would never have forgot it for the rest of my life..both boxes have worked out at £60 each,i know it was alot, but whats the chances of seeing any of these on ebay for £60 buy it now ?

the unisef is a beautifull box and i've wanted one for years,i've had the crowns before but never had a unisef..

i cant leave the kaboom alone,it sounds fantastic, the only problem is,its not very good without the remote because it can do alot more with it..the condition is prestine, even has the sticker on the door for the iphone, and colour scheme it best i've seen, metalic graphite bluey-grey..i'm so happy with both of these..

saying that i do plan to slim my boxes right down soon..

How did the seller even think he would get $399 for that crap. At best he may get $100, I sell them at no more then $79 with new belts and that pushing it, but did sell them.

Most techs and engineers, or any one with any techincal knowledge, will be into vintage electronics. Mostly due to the fact it represented a time when engineers were more in control and stuff was built right, not the cheap plastic boring crap you find today. So any time you see something good for a cheap price, you will automatically more likely buy it. Just got to learn how to sell the stuff to, so it don't overrun your house. Plus you can make good money off the stuff and still have a pretty nice collection, making the hobby worth it, as it will pay for itseft. Don't be a shame to sell the stuff etheir, it's better to be direct.

Bad news on the kaboom..my friend just came to my house,we plugged his iphone in the dock and it wont recognise it,i also tried a nano yesterday and that would'nt work either,so i think there is something wrong with it,so i'm going to sell it,i cant cope with faulty stuff like that, especially when its the main feature on the box,i just tried to google it but there is no info on it because the model is so new..i'm on a double downer

apple stuff can be weird i find,

some chargers work on certain models and not on others,

i dont think they like third party hardware and block compatabilities

i hate anything to do with apple and itunes bison lad..i used to have ipod touches, had a few, they are a work of art,but their association with apple spoils it,and i hate itunes, thats why i got rid of them, having to use itunes library, you need to be an itunes wizzard to be able to use it,i could'nt do it,and i hated being restricted as to what you can do with it,i had my ipod touch,it had bluetooth, but it was pointless because i could'nt send tunes to it or from it because of apple ristricted it,probebly because apple thinks your getting your tunes for nothing and they dont like it,all you can use it for is to send pictures,no drag and drop,it was like husain bolt with one leg, brilliant but useless..

Stay away from the newer Kabooms..they are only 40 watts rms, the older fellas with the "Line In" are 52 watts rms.. you also get a cassette deck and cd player.. you can run your nano or the like using the line in
