A national panasonic rx 5100

a rx 5100 boombox from a scrap collector,, bit dirty ,,vu meters not functioning ,missing tuning knob but sounds great .. I only used radio and aux in this unit ,,,hoping find other model in the future

Maybe you could use it as a side for your PC, that would be cool.

i had one early on in my collecting years,but mine was fully working-still a good box and relatively an easy fix are pannys

Try cleaning the switch for VU meter with De-oxit. You might have seen that it has got a switch to change the VU functions. Or it might be a loose soldering.

 

There is no reason for its VU meter to go dead.

 

Also why is that TPS indicator on? I suspect there is a wrong connection made in the PCB inside.

also the fm indicator not working on the upper left corner,, where should the vu meter connection, could not find the error in the vu meters,, can someone help ??i, is the switch for meter is the culprit?
