Here's another rare find- Vector Research

beatboy1970 - 2013-02-24 20:02

Recently bought this Vector Research VMC-100. It was kept in storage for quite some time still new in the box actually. Needed a lot of attention and going to need some cosmedic work as well. Had to send out to get a full check up and cleaning. Looks like some heat or something got to the bottem of it cause  there was some warping to the feet and spider webs are in the plastic in some areas. The front is in pretty decent shape overall. It's a componate system, simular to the JVC 55 and you can break down and separate the speakers, cassette deck, and tuner.  The good thing is, everything works perfect. I had an issue with one of the plugs that had something to do with the battery power but since repaired it.  I may have to go out and look for another one, maybe a fixer-upper with a nicer appearence and do a full swap..who knows. enjoy the pics

Nice.....

Snap! :-

The PC 55 has two way speakers, my doppelganger is a PC11 and apparently, your box, although related to it and still not possessed of two way speakers, sounds much better. Some day, even if it means going across the pond to find one, I'll have me one of these Vector jobbies too. If it's really better than that PC11 it should sound stunning as all the 11 lacks is a bit of lower bass but has crisp, clean sound everywhere else.

Hi brother, I actually have the JVC-PC 55 without a handle, but she works mint and still is pretty. I'm holding on to for a while, but I will be selling the Vector Research, she works but has some issues. If your interested i'd be willing to part with it fairly cheap. I even have the original box and operations manual. Let me know. Peace Brother
