yesterday's delight, todays dissapointment!!

lav.loo - 2013-03-21 12:20

today i recieved my hitachi 8190 from Northerner and it was packed brilliantly and the box is as described.

i got the hitachi literally for next to nothing so i'm not gonna moan too much here.

just want to advise caution if using hermes as the handle on the hitachi is trashed and snapped off.

it is clearly the way hermes as handled the box as Si did a great job in packing it.

so after yesterdays joy on the 575 today the tide has turned but i'm not gonna dwell on it as i will keep it for a parts box incase i ever get another in need of work.

anyway here's a pic.......

Wtf!...what's with Hermes at the moment!!! I've shipped all sorts without damage and the last two I sent, one to Andy and one to Az have both been damaged!!! Not bleedin happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just aswell i got it so cheap mate

northerner - 2013-03-21 13:03

Amazing that they managed to do that to the handle as it folds right back against the rear of the machine!

It was very cheap Az, it's cheap even as a parts box but still feel bad it's damaged...wanted to give you a really good deal to cheer you up mate. Good job you got that fab 575 instead!!

Happily give you part or all of the money back mate

lav.loo - 2013-03-21 13:07

no no not atall mate, i can use it in some way don't you worry and don't feel bad as it's not your fault atall. sometimes these things happen, part of life if ya like

northerner - 2013-03-21 13:19

I suppose at least it's just the handle which is easily replaced if you can get a spare part and the 8190 ain't rare so someone might even come up with one for you.

Just hide it behind that minty 575!! LOL!

lav.loo - 2013-03-21 13:34

ha ha yeah il'e do that Si, great idea and if i put the aeriels up on the 8190 the 575 will look like it has twin ones

Lav you're a true gent about this and Northerner is just as great. What a shame this happened in transit. I hope you get her fixed up ...and I hope the courier gets a kick in the a$$!!!!!!!! That ticks me of!!!!! Kudos to both of you... true gents!

sorry to hear that lav,

its a bit hard to really see what happened to the handle but you think is repairable?

or it needs another handle?

after further inspection it looks like it's already had a repair as the holding screws are not original or matching? i will probably keep it for a parts box tbh Hugo as i got it real cheap
