Once you've changed the drivers you can change the boombox around them to a JVC-M70 for an overall better asthetic experience

I'm joking, nice box and welcome to the forum.

northerner - 2013-05-24 05:24

Best looking vu meters ever IMO

bloomers76 - 2013-05-24 06:12

Was thinking of changing the speakers but didn't know if it would affect the value? Thanks for all your comments.

deliverance - 2013-05-24 06:19

tbh james i think the value may increase but keep the originals anyway to cover both ends .

northerner - 2013-05-24 06:58

Does seem to be universally agreed that they're better with upgraded speakers so can't see it reducing the value but as Del says, keep the originals too.

I really need to hear another one as mine has replacement speakers but they look vintage sharp to me...they sound good tho so I'd like to hear what originals are supposed to sound like. If we have another uk meet this year I need someone to bring one

mitchelljames - 2013-05-24 12:08

Tbh the box i had i thought was quite good in its original state.

mitchelljames - 2013-05-24 12:08

In fact i would quite like another.

bloomers76 - 2013-06-05 02:34

bloomers76 - 2013-06-06 10:20

Wow really your willing to part with your  whole weeks pocket money.

dogtemple - 2013-06-06 12:11

im not willing to pay over the odds, which often happens when people pop up on here out of no where asking for offers.  i suspect you want £100+ ?

bloomers76 - 2013-06-06 14:14

Id like to get what its worth and I thought on this forum would be the best place to achive that.

northerner - 2013-06-06 14:22

I thought the forum now had a policy that if you put a box up for sale on the forum you had to state an asking price...so might be an idea to give a price otherwise AO will likely be along and close the thread

dogtemple - 2013-06-06 14:54

yeah i thought the same.  you need to state a price.

for what its worth i dont think anyone will pay top dollar for a box on here unless theyre desperate.

its an enthusiast site, we know where to find these at low prices and how to fix them.

ebay is the place to sell it if you want a high price, you need someone that doesnt know what it is but likes the look so pays whatever it costs them.

ive passed on a few of these over the years as i dont want to pay more than £40 for one at the most.  ive bought countless ghetto blasters on the basis that theyre old radios and never spent more than £10 on one (with a handful of exceptions)

same probably goes for many other people on here too.

bloomers76 - 2013-06-06 15:06

Oh Ok my mistake im sorry. Fair comments from you both im new to this forum and I suppose you learn as you go.
