ugly duckling to swan

i always thought the gf525 had room for improvement in looks so i got rid of the nasty grey front grill to expose those nice chrome bits against the black,i also sprayed the little grills on the tweeters black as well as the speakers....i think it looks quite sweet now

should have left the factory looking like this, big improvement!

redbenjoe - 2013-10-20 17:12

nice going -- looks much better your way

northerner - 2013-10-20 22:53

Looks cool...always good to show a bit more chrome

michiel - 2013-10-20 23:11

Looks much better than the original! Good idea!

Good job Lee, looks mean.  I've got the 515...but i prefer the darker 525.

It's a shame how they offset the surrounds from the actual speakers... bit of a wtf from Sharp.

Thats nice. Funny I've allways preferd the look of the 525 to that of the 555. Your one looks great.

I wonder if hacking off the waffle style grills would improve the look of a 555 (or would it be like polishing a turd?) not that I mind cos I think its ugly looks give it character
