Box with 4x meters

ao - 2010-04-23 00:48

Here's a new one on me. Ugly as sin but check those meters.

Found here.

Wow.....Now THAT'S the proper way to do things. No silly little button to change the meter function.

I think they copied the JVC RC-838 when they designed that box. The type of woofer grilles, the meters, and the 3 LED's in-between them are definate design similarities.

WOW, nice box man Eek

It looks like it was pretty big,
how is the quality of sound?

There is another one with different name what I found with searching on the net.

I Agree Check out that small-ass handle tho - only big enough for one hand.

I don't like the look of this box. The 838 looks waaaaaay better! Nod Yes

lav.loo - 2010-04-24 09:31

ye i gotta agree with mono on this one, personally i think it,s a bad attempt at making a boombox, i think who ever designed it should of been sacked Nod Yes, if you can,t compete with the big brand names, don,t bother.
and them 4 needles don,t make up for the pure ugliness of this box No No

Well I'd swap my 838 for it with no hesitation. I love meters.....The more the better. And the 838 is a horrible sounding box anyway, so this one could only be better Laugh Out Loud

I Agree My 838 doesn't sound good. In fact, it hardly ever gets played. Frown I just look at it and admire it's beauty! Big Grin

I have a Bereste 004 and has a very nice sound.

Mine doesn't sound bad at all in stereo mode (those other 2 sound enhancement modes are kinda lame).

Besides, I've got worse sounding boxes than the 838... My TOYOTA for instance. Nod Yes

lav.loo - 2010-05-08 07:31

hey mono!! what,s happened to your avvy?? the other one was way cooler Nod Yes

Might that be the same TOYOTA that is a re-badge of the GF-777?

Technically, it's the Sharp GF-909 (or is it the 919?), but yeah. Nod Yes

I like to switch 'em up every now and then... I might switch it back.

The kid in yours could almost fit inside that box. Big Grin

I hope it's a mini... He'll need at least another 5 years before he'll be able to carry that Super Jumbo. Big Grin

Kids and boxes... I always marvel at those size comparison pictures! Eek

What a strange dial. 66-74 MHz FM?! I've never seen or heard of that.
6-12 MHz then 6-6.2, 7-7.3, 9.5-9.75,and 11.7-12.1 on four more separate bands. Very strange indeed.

I love the old style meters too. They look like the ones that used to be on the old quad tape decks.
