Chinese Mega ripoff!!

adespin - 2010-06-01 13:36

I'm curious, has anybody on this forum ever bought one of these boxes or anything like it from China on ebay?, seems like a bit of a ripoff to me. They are on ebay every week so they must have hundreds or them Confused

Are they the genuine artical or just an expensive copy

They are genuine stuff -- that is not the problem. The problem is in representation of the item. If you buy one from eBay and it's busted up or the not as represented, the responsibility is on you to return it in order to get a refund. Back/forth shipping on these will most likely exceed the original price so who'd want to pay return shipping charges that exceeded the original purchase price?

They usually smell or something is typically not as described because there "english sucks".

They also screw the system because the shipping is so high that you only get refunds on the purchase price, not the shipping, so they get their money, but nothing is returned for shipping.

I would NEVER buy from them, period.

Also, they have a stack of boxes, but quite often just send em out without testing, in every auction they put up, the box works perfectly, and when you get it, there are issues. They just pull one out of stock and send it.

and i've heard they wee on them just before they send them out Eek Big Grin

i reckon they are paying next to nothing for all them boxes over there, and bet they are making a fortune, noticed most of the 777's have the origonal labels on the speakers, and the labels are always in mint condition, thats because they puck up a 777 for something like £20-£30,print up some labels to jazz it up,then ask 100s of ££££ for it...i'de be tempted to buy from them but no way for the prices they want, some of them are soo greedy, paying for the box, then the shipping, and chances are us in uk will be charged upto £100 for import tax,it makes it a joke, none starter...

Some on this board have purchased them.
It seems the price determines the condition.
The higher priced ones are better shape.
There not copies but they are used made in China.
