I'm about to achieve my first GF 9494 or the first GF 9191,I don't know yet, to be part of my collection-I mean I don't know wich one to choose .I love the look of the 2 of them-the 9494 it looks most impressive I must recognize,but the 9191 has its great design too.
I have to choose only one of them for this moment.
So I've decided for the criteria of the best sounding of them. At this point I need your opinion my good friends of this great site to help me to make my decision.
Wich one of them is sounding better according to your your thoughts-the 18 cm woofer GF 9494 or the 16 cm woofer GF 9191?

in my opinion --the 9494 sounds alot better --and looks a little better

Im listening to my 9292 right now... Ive gotta think its much the same as the 9191?

Go with the 9494 if cost is no object.

Ya, usually - the higher the number the better it sounds

to me the 9191 has a bit of a mellow sound but the 9494 sounds great too and the looks yes

I haven't heard a 9191 yet, but my 9494 sounds really great - It doesn't have great bass. more of a rock'n'roll sound set up. It looks awesome. I would recommend it for sure

I like the 9191 but no question I'd go with the 9494 if I had to choose. Fairly comparable sound but the 9494 is more impressive, neither is great for bass but they both can produce a pleasant level of bass.

9494 is a great machine, but don't undervalue the 9191 it's a great box with a very nice sound, I remember being very impressed with mine when I got it and it still delivers the goods whenever I give it a blasting session.
I actually think the 9191 vu's are one of the best looking.

Good choice! Both are great, but the size, looks and sound is more to the top with the 9494 than with the 9191!

A Sanyo M9994 is better than either, I would recommend getting one of those instead. I was not really impressed with the 9494 at all, the JVC RC-M70 blows it away.

Hi PF-How about a M9990?
How does that compare to the M9994?
I was going to get one of those M9990's.
I have a GF-9191X and it's nice but your right the M70 is way better at least compared to a 9191.
I haven't had the oppurtunity to hear a GF-9494.

you would be a lot happier with a sanyo 9994k up to now it the only box to give you real low bass in a medium box package

9191 does have cool VU's, assuming they work correctly, lol.
I would rather have LED VU's, so I would prefer the 9292. Also it has sweet trim rings.
