CONION C100F

ash25 - 2008-06-25 18:42

I wanted to know how you guys felt about this Conion I won tonight on the bay. Item # 270247787871. In his ad it said shipping was $15.00, but then I get 2 invoices, 1 for $25.00 total and one for $30.00. I asked him why and was still waiting for a response. The problem is that I live 20 minutes away and was hoping he would allow me to pick it up and save shipping all together. At his time whenever he wanted to is fine with me. Am I asking too much and what about the 3 different shippiong charges? Maybe he thought this was going to go for more money on EBAY. Dont wanna be a pain, just really want to pick this up. What do you guys think????????????????

oldskool69 - 2008-06-25 18:50

WELL DONE!!!!

Now you'll need another $716.97 for the cassette door! Laugh Out Loud

I would wait for the response to pick it up. If not, go to USPS online get a guesstimate based on expected package size and let him know you are aware of what it would cost to ship it. Smile

Thats just stupid. Mad If that guy won't let you come and pick it up. I would say he is just padding his losses by charging you high shipping charges. Nice pickup BTW!!! Nod Yes

I Agree totally agree with what has been said this reminds me of an aiwa 600 i was wanting on ebay about a yr ago the box was 15 min away 2 exits up the interstate and the creep would not let me pick it up,i did not bid.I know people are paronoid that someone comming to your house could be a maniac yada yada yada but honestly i doubt a winning bidder is going to up to no good! People are weird... I just did a calculation and according to his auction the box would cost 17.55 to ship to me in FLa,! Honestly i think that's a little low,but certainly 30.00 for u is RIDICULUOS. All in All it's a good deal,i think the seller should come around ,even if he chgs a small packing fee and u pay say $20 if he does not want the box pick up,i still think u did well,Good luck!

Maybe offer to meet a a nearby McDonalds, (neutral location) etc.. Maybe he'll be more willing to meet for a small lunch and you can get more history on your purchase.Just a thought. Big congrats to you Ash. Post some pics when you get it.

I agree, Maybe a $5/$7 lunch will take you a long way ? Good luck & congrats on a killer score Nod Yes

Thanks for all the replies. I did say I could pick it up anytime he chose. Maybe I should offer the lunch and a restaurant so he wont feel uncomfortable. Good suggestion. I do wanna find out how and where he came across this Conion. Of course I was going to give cash if we met in person and if he wont then paypal its going to be. As of right now no email back. Maybe he did expect this to go higher so he would make up the difference in shipping. Keep everyone posted.
